| RESORT
BACKGROUND Scotland has 5 resorts each offering boardin' for the beginner and the more advanced boarders. Glenshee is a place that nobody can tire of. It is Scotland's largest ski resort with 40 Km of runs, 25 lifts split over 3 different valleys, it is truly awesome. were Glenshee has a boarding park that is to be see throughout the season filled with gap jumps, banked turns, a quarterpipe, tabletops, railslides, log slides, picnic bench ...... Nevis Range is the newest of the five Scottish Ski Area's and has the highest run at 4,006 ft. Excellent ski-ing is available for the experts, on and off piste filled with nice long runs. Glencoe is a perennial favorite with Scottish Snow Worshippers. A haven for snowboarder's attracted by the superb variety on natural terrain, the unsurpassable mountain views simply add to the attraction of the area. Cairngorm Mountain is just a few miles from Aviemore there are now 17 lifts and the two chairlift's have been replaced with a new Mountain Railway that was opened on December 24th 2001. The Lecht is the lowest of the Scottish Ski Areas (2090ft) Although it is the lowest, it is usually the first resort to open every year Due to The Lecht's low height, they have also invested heavily in snow making machinery. Although the center does not have many black runs, we love this place as everything is so easy to get to. |
